> Go to Control Panel

> Choose 'Standard PC'
> ... then confirm.
The system will then need to restart, so let it do so. Then it will discover every chip that it has and will load a new driver for it, which it will have on board. This process may take some time and you may experience waves of paranoia, but press on. then a final restart should do it.
When I re-ran DriverTest.exe the it was as if a miracle had been performed.
I've heard a lot of negative reports about using laptops and expecting any type of performance due to the nature of a laptop's power management system.
I have worked with this laptop more, making several parts and I have noticed that network activity of any kind is not compatible when I run Mach 3.
So I disable all network devices, reboot and then Mach 3 runs smoothly and uninterrupted, as expected...
Thinkpad t42 düzüstünün BIOS'undan tüm güç yönetimi ile ilgili şeyleri kapattım. Ayrıca wifi açık olması da sorun oluyormuş. Step sinyallerini bozuyormuş. Kapatmak gerekiyor. (wifi kapatmayı denemedim. Akşam deneyeceğim)I'm running similarly on a Thinkpad T42. Shut off all power management options in BIOS, etc. I also found the same with having Wifi enabled. Caused audible jitter in the step signals. Disable the adapter and all is good.
Dizüstünden adaptörü söküp tekrar takınca sıkıntı oluyormuş.Also found if the laptop got unplugged and plugged back in to power, the skipping came back.
PCMCIA kartımı beklerken biraz daha araştırdım. Dizüstü bilgisayarlar ve Mach3 arasındaki sorunların çözümleri konusunda daha çok fikir sahibi oldum. Özetleyecek olursam;

- Denetim masasına git
- Sisteme git
"The secret is .... disable the ACPI driver!
Open the device manager and find the 'Computer' icon.
Click on the plus next to that and you will see something like Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) computer. Chose the 'update driver' option and select 'Standard PC' as a replacement.
Windows demands a reboot after this, and a lot of the hardware had to be 'rediscovered' and reinstalled (all used drivers it knew about already, so was painless), another reboot for good measure and now it works flawlessly.
Thanks to DaveC my Dell Inspiron now works beautifully with Mach3 and I have every confidence it will solve all the issues mentioned by others (unfortunately not Dave's latitude D800 it would seem) in the above posts.
Tweakie."
