This Customer is complaining there are Voltages present on his L5392 when he does not earth it. Now it is earthed, there are no stray Voltages. He now thinks there is a problem with the unit, con you advise what is connected to earth? I have advised him there will most likely be filter capacitors connected to ground as part of the switched mode power supply, but he is still worried.
Please advise.
Best Regards – Colin

“Hello Colin
If the L5392 Linkopstation is not grounded then you will get floating voltages on the unit. Notealso that the installation instructions mention that the case must be groundedby tying the cases ground stud to a suitably earthed point. If the Panel onwhich the unit is to mounted is earthed (which it should be) then it will beenough to tighten the earth screw onto bare metal
